I have two huge passions in my life: God’s Word and Writing.
Growing up I filled notebooks with poetry, short stories and reflections on life, faith, people and God. Seeking more, I trained for pastoral ministry at Martin Luther College, graduating in 2005 and then later received my Masters of Theology from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2009.
I was privileged to serve as pastor of a congregation in Michigan for three years. After much wrestling in prayer and evaluating personal and family considerations I changed careers and also set out to pursue a path in creative writing. I now live in southwest Missouri with my wife and 5 children.
I published my first historical fiction work I Was There…When the Giant Fell in 2014. I am currently working on another historical fiction novel that looks at the story of Jonah from the perspective of one of the sailors.
My prayer is that God will use me and my writings to touch the hearts and lives of many people with God’s message of grace and salvation in Jesus Christ.
